Final of Doom
- One of my students told me they'd see me at the Final of Doom. Is a cumulative final in an upper level course really that bad?
- One of my other students got into all their special professional schools they applied to. They now just have to choose which state to move to. Oh yeah, and get a B+ on my final in order to pass the course and graduate.
- Hmmmm, I thought I had more bullets than that...

Um. Yes, cumulative finals are evil. (Especially the one I have to take on Thursday...)
I had students coming to me and telling me the grade they needed on my final in order to pass/get into grad school/get into med school etc.
AS if they somehow thought I happily give them whatever grade they wanted. Grrrr.
Some of them were kids who had done no work at all all semester. I think they took my class because they thought it was going to be easy. And it would be, if the just did the work.
