Everybody in Fur.
InaDWriMo: I am down to 9 pages instead of 13! And 1-2 of those might even be acceptable.
Tonight I got my first email from someone wanting to drop my class. This kid really shouldn't be doing this poorly. They could still salvage the grade if they put a lot of effort into it but are citing a heavy class load and I assume, want an A/B instead of a B/C or worse. It is a shame, they ask decent questions in class.
Anyway, pet pics! It seems all our pets either look crazy or like they should be in a Gap ad...
Crazy: Not that we encourage it! I was bundled up just because our house is freezing and V is head to toe in Bears gear dispite the fact that they were not actually playing this week.
Gap Ad:Crazy: This is the greatest freakin picture!
Gap Ad(s): Even V got in on the fun!
She is like Kate Moss Kitty. With a pen problem instead of a drug problem.

It's Caturday!
I am holed up in the house and sick as can be. I don't know what it is but my joints hurt, hot, sleepy, and I'll spare you the details of the problems with my bodily functions but I am to the point where I can't even drink water. Ick.
I am supposed to go knit and finish the baby blanket ends tomorrow but we will see. Of course, my first SnB back in PA and I am living it up by going from my bed to the guest room to the comfy downstairs chair but to my bed. Also, that whole 8 am Monday morning lecture thing (nope, no holiday for us) is sort of totally not getting done.
I'm through whining now. Here are some awesome pet pics for this beautiful Caturday (and Dogurday too!)
He totally looks like he should be in a Gap ad or something.
Maybe Tyra should put him on Americas Next Top Cat Model.
This is his sexy face.
Miss meows-a-lot could also be in the running. She certainly knows how to strike a pose.
She is the cutest but perhaps too cute is a little too commercial for Tyra and the gang.
Cal just has crazy eyes! He's so fierce that he IS the Tyra of our little household.
Geez, I need to get back to sleep....

Pet sitting round-up
Usually critters with two different color eyes freak me out. I wasn't too weirded out my ol' Harv here until he started looking like pure evil...
Some of the 60 chickens. I collected eggs from these fatty hens. I got 68 one day and about 50 two days later. They lay so many eggs you can't even give them away around here (and no charities will take them). I had to roll them out in the field for other animals to find. I saw my first rattlesnake while I was dong this though! It was coiled and even rattled at me!

Little House of Savages
I love the pet sitting (hot shower- woo!) but it is starting to get ridiculous. Over the course of this week and next I am house sitting for 4 people. Here's the breakdown...
House 1: 1 turtle, 1 lizard, 1 fish tank and 1 cat.
House 2: 1 fish tank, 1 gecko, 2 tanks of frogs, 1 tortoise, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 coop of pigeons, 48 chickens.
House 3: 1 horse (!!!)
House 4: 2 dogs (I've been here a couple times before).
House 2 has cable so I can enjoy Derby Day too! Last year I was all about Bluegrass Cat (who finished second) and this year, it is Cowtown Cat. He is a long shot but I just can't get over a horse named Cat. He has Funny Cide for a half-brother, Bluegrass Cat as an uncle and Secretariat for a great-great grandhorse, shares a trainer with Bluegrass Cat, PLUS he won the Illinois Derby. Sounds like a good pick to me!

Time trap
So I am still doing revisions on the proposal. I finished 2 rounds of comments with one committee member, another hasn't looked at either of the 2 versions I've now sent her and the other 3 are easy to please.
I am going to work on some grants and maybe knit a little. Until I have better news, or more zzzzs to form coherent thoughts I leave you with the animals!
The fact that my papers aren't signed have kept me from sleeping the last two nights. I realize that these committee members are just trying to help me. But to a certain extent, if they want specific changes made and feel that they are really important couldn't they you know, look at them in a timely fashion when I make the changes? I don't want to come off as ungrateful or anything and I know they are super busy at this time of the semester too, but I don't think they really know why it is such a big deal... my university requires one to take a full load if you aren't to candidacy. However, they won't pay for this full load of classes if I am not on campus and I can't do my research if I am AT my university. Also, one of these days I need to sleep!
